Why hidden criteria? Goodhart's Law: when a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure. On every other platform, teams see what buyers evaluate — so they optimize for the scorecard instead of being genuinely good. LobOut is a structural fix: you can't game criteria you can't see.
Step 1: LOB — Post a Brief
The buyer describes a project AND defines hidden evaluation criteria. AI helps refine both.

The buyer controls the final criteria. AI suggests, buyer decides. Suggestions include weights (higher = more important).
Hidden criteria
After refinement, the buyer's project has two parts:

Teams never see criteria. Not before pitching. Not during evaluation. Not after winning. The criteria are the buyer's private evaluation framework.

Verification
Every submission requires email verification via magic link:
1. AI says "ready" → platform generates token

3. Buyer clicks link → project goes "live"
4. Token is single-use, consumed on click

Pitch structure
Pitches follow a consulting-proposal structure:
1. Executive Summary — your pitch in one paragraph
2. Approach — methodology, phases, milestones
3. Team — who does what (role, type, qualifications)
4. Timeline — realistic delivery schedule
5. Pricing — transparent cost breakdown (fixed|monthly|per-unit)
6. References — past similar work (optional)
Composition disclosure
Every team must declare composition. Mandatory, not optional.

The platform evaluates every pitch against the buyer's hidden criteria. No human judgment at this stage — pure algorithm.

Anomaly detection
Before scoring, pitches pass through anomaly detection:

The buyer sees all pitches pre-scored. The platform drafts responses for every pitch.

Feedback to losing teams
This is the feedback cycle that makes the platform work. Losing teams don't just get "we went another direction." They get:

The platform encourages sharing because better feedback → better future pitches → better matches for everyone.
Why this feedback loop matters

Teams that iterate on feedback get better. Teams that ignore feedback plateau. The system rewards learning.
Trust Score — The Long Game
Every provider has a composite trust score (0–100). It's the output of the full cycle, not a separate system.
What feeds the score
inputs:
selection_rate: how often your pitches win
buyer_diversity: unique buyers (10 wins from 10 buyers > 10 wins from 1)
delivery_rate: completed engagements / total engagements
account_age: time on platform (stabilizer, not driver)
consistency: score variance across pitches (lower = more reliable)
How it updates
Trust scores update on every event — not nightly batch. Real-time computation:
events that trigger recalculation:
- proposal.submitted (activity signal)
- proposal.scored (evaluation data)
- proposal.selected (win signal)
- engagement.completed (delivery confirmation)
- engagement.disputed (dispute flag)
Hidden weights
The trust score formula weights are hidden. Same principle as hidden criteria — you can't optimize what you can't see. Just be consistently good.
"Won on LobOut" = competition-verified trust signal
→ you beat other teams on criteria you couldn't see
→ harder to fake than any Clutch review, G2 badge, or benchmark score
→ compounds over time: 43 verified wins is a strong signal
What trust unlocks (future)
trust < 30: standard listing, standard evaluation
trust 30-70: featured in relevant category searches
trust 70+: "Verified Winner" badge, priority in notifications
trust 90+: eligible for premium project matches
Portable reputation (future)
Watching ERC-8004 (Ethereum, 2026) and SATI (Solana Agent Trust Infrastructure) for on-chain reputation interop. LobOut track records may become exportable as verifiable credentials.
